Location: Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre
The Simply Slavic Heritage Festival showcases the rich traditions of the Slavic ethnicities present in the Mahoning Valley.
The event will include live music, folk dance performances, homemade food, children’s learning areas, educational exhibits, and ethnic vendors. A full weekend of entertainment and education is planned.
Admission is $5.00. Children 12 years old and younger will be admitted free of charge both days.
Various nationalities, cultures and our community are celebrated with the sharing of gifts from our many homelands through food, music, costume and tradition.
The three day bazaar features a multitude of foods with a wide variety of ethnic cuisine to sample. There is wonderful entertainment throughout the weekend including on-going live performances. Stop by the different cultural booths that feature crafts and items from many homelands.
Admission is $3. Children 12 years old and younger are free.

Location: Cleveland Cultural Gardens Main Plaza Stage
One World Day celebrates the many cultures that call Northeast Ohio home. This free event, hosted by the Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation since 1946, is filled with opportunities for individuals and families to learn more about who we are.
The day begins with a Naturalization Ceremony for new U.S. citizens and a Parade of Flags, followed by music and dance from around the world and authentic ethnic food throughout the Gardens. The Passport to Peace program is a fun way for kids and adults to learn about countries and cultures of the world and meet members of our Garden communities. The Children’s Village offers families even more opportunities for multi-cultural games and educational activities.
Admission is free.

Location: Polish American Cultural Center
The Polish custom of the Dożynki dates back to ancient times, and is celebrated during the early autumn to give thanks for the season’s bountify.
The Cultural Center will be cooking up a delicious Polish food, the CPA will have a full array of domestic and imported piwo, there will be Polish folk dancing, vendors, 50/50 and gift basket raffles, free tours of the Cultural Center museum, and seating both indoors and outside in the lovely Cultural Center Garden.

PolishFest

The Annual Polishfest is designed to give everyone an opportunity to experience the living Polish, Lithuanian, Hungarian, and Carpatho-Rusyn cultures
The Annual Polishfest is designed to give the festival guests, families, and students an opportunity to experience the living cultures of the Polish, Lithuanian and Carpatho-Rusyn Peoples that throughout history were joined, separated and independently are connected. A living legacy presented to teach, to experience, to taste, to try and to have fun.
This family-oriented event is FREE to everyone and will include many activities such as Polish name writing; Lithuanian angel papercutting demonstration; pierogi / pirohy cooking demonstrations and samples; and Carpatho-Rusyn spinning and lace making; and a pierogi toss.
